    A budget-friendly airline is shifting its presence in the Windy City. Learn about the airport change and new flight offering. Avelo Airlines said Tuesday it is adding Chicago's O'Hare International Airport as a destination with flights to Tweed-New Haven Airport in southern Connecticut starting next month. The twice-weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays will begin on May 15 out of O’Hare’s Terminal 5.

    The new 4,400-square-foot lounge has features like a movie theater, a VIP area and wellness spaces. Virgin Atlantic has opened a new passenger lounge in the Tom Bradley International Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport. The new 4,400-square-foot lounge takes over what was formerly a lounge for Etihad Airways, which halted service out of LAX in November 2021 because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The airline originally announced its LAX lounge plan in September.

    The funding comes amid the EV manufacturer's increasing emphasis on AI. Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. said it’s received a $41 million funding commitment that will allow the company to roll out its new FX electric vehicle by the end of the year. The new financing commitment comes after the Gardena, California-based electric vehicle maker (Nasdaq: FFAI) announced $30 million of funding in December and another $30 million in September.

    Guess officials said they’ve formed a committee of independent directors of the board to evaluate the proposal. Guess Inc. said it’s received an offer to go private from WHP Global, the owner of brands including Toys R Us, for $13 per share. Shares in the Los Angeles-based apparel company (NYSE: GES) closed at $9.70 per share on Friday and in Monday-morning trading climbed as much as 32% to $12.79 on the news.
