Introduction Blood-based protein biomarkers have several properties which make them attractive adjuncts in the diagnosis, monitoring, and prognostication of multiple sclerosis (MS). Proteins are often abundant in serum/plasma, stable in solution, and are straightforward to quantify. Furthermore plasma is easier to obtain than cerebrospinal fluid or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans, particularly if regular measurements are required for ongoing monitoring.

Dear EditorThis article provides an important overview of the cases for and against fortification of food with Folic acid. It accidentally also provides a wonderful new name for this vitamin: "Benign vitamin B". Presumably this was meant to read "Vitamin B9" but Artificial Intelligence voice recognition software tripped up. A nice new name nevertheless. Competing interests: No competing interests
