HARARE, April. 1 (NewsDay Live) - Leader of the Johanne The Fifth of Africa Church, Archbishop Andby Makururu has applauded Zimbabweans for maintaining peace during Monday's protests called by outspoken war veteran Blessed “Bombshell” Geza. The protests were meant to express the citizens’ frustrations with President Emmerson Mnangagwa's alleged misgovernance. In recent posts on his social media handles, Geza called for countrywide protests against Mnangagwa and called on him to resign.

Local News HARARE, Mar. 31 (NewsDay Live) – The late former People’s Own Savings Bank (POSB) chief executive officer, Admore Kandlela, who died last week, was buried at Glen Forest Cemetery in Harare last Friday. The banking community gathered to honour and celebrate the life of Kandlela, who was credited with turning around the fortunes of POSB from a mere postal savings bank to a successful commercial bank.

A GWANDA man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after being convicted of murder. He killed his wife following a domestic dispute involving money. In a statement yesterday, the National Prosecution Authority of Zimbabwe said the couple, which was resident in Enyandeni village, at the time of the commission of the offence had travelled to Vumbachikwe Mine on February 28, 2023, to sell maize cobs and sweet reeds.
