One of the faces of the Twins’ future arrived on Friday when the Twins called up Luke Keaschall, one of the team’s — and Major League Baseball’s — top prospects. Keaschall, ranked as MLB Pipeline’s No. 57 prospect, got the call in place of utilityman Mickey Gasper, whom the Twins optioned to Triple-A St. Paul. The 22-year-old Keaschall was drafted by the Twins in the second round of the 2023 draft and has done nothing but hit since arriving in their minor league system.

With one of the fastest runners in the league, Byron Buxton, on second, France was just looking to put the ball in play to let Buxton “do his thing.”On the third pitch of the at-bat, France lined a pitch into right-center field.

Danny Coulombe could feel it, a palpable shift in the clubhouse over the past few days. Guys were having more fun, guys were playing looser, the reliever said. And the results have been following. Or, maybe it’s the opposite — maybe they got some positive results and that’s led to the shift. Either way, things seem to be turning around for the Minnesota Twins after a dreadful start to the season.
