Grubb Properties announced it purchased 5550 Hollywood Blvd., a 2017-built apartment complex. The transaction marks Grubb’s first acquisition of an existing community in the market, it said in a press release. The seven-story building, known as The Fifty Five Fifty Apartments, holds 280 studio and one-, two- and three-bedroom units with an average size of 739 SF. Amenities include a gym and yoga studio, a pool, two outdoor courtyards, a resident lounge and coworking spaces.

Sprouts is taking over a former 99 Cents Only space. NewMark Merrill Cos. signed Sprouts Farmers Market to a new lease for 26K SF at Bristol Warner Village, an 80K SF retail center at 2311 S. Bristol St. in Santa Ana. The new store will open in the last quarter of 2026. The Sprouts replaces a 99 Cents Only store that closed in 2024. Sprouts joins a list of retailers and restaurants at Bristol Warner Village including IHOP, Starbucks, T-Mobile and Waba Grill.

Not long after it announced an Irvine store in the works, Canada’s largest Asian grocery chain has said it will open a second Southern California store, this time in Chino Hills. The market, set to be T&T's largest in California, will open in the fall of 2026, the Los Angeles Times reported. The 61K SF store will take up two former big-box spaces vacated by a Best Buy and a Bed Bath & Beyond.
