IntroductionAntibiotic resistance genes (ARG) are prevalent in various microbial communities, such as those inhabiting animal intestines (Looft et al., 2012), feces (Salaheen et al., 2021), soil (Perry et al., 2022), as well as rumen of ruminant livestock (Thomas et al., 2018). The differences in ARG and virulence factor genes (VFG) of microbiota significant impact animal gastrointestinal health (Wu et al., 2021).
