Southwest winds from 15 to 25mph along with a few gusts around 30mph are possible by late Wednesday afternoon. Stronger winds are likely Thursday afternoon through Friday with a few gusts around 40mph, especially in our local mountains.

Las Vegas (KSNV) — Hold on to your festive hats this Cinco de Mayo as heavy winds enter the valley starting Saturday. A High Wind Watch is in effect this weekend for potential wind gusts up to 55mph for most areas in southern Nevada. Highs on Saturday will approach 90 degrees once again with lows in the mid-60s. The actual cold front slides through early Sunday morning resulting in a 15 to 18-degree drop in our temperatures.
