Thursday starts sunny before rain moves into Philadelphia region Thursday in the Philadelphia region will start very nicely with sunshine, mild temps and dry air; however, passing showers will return during the afternoon. Another weather maker is approaching the area and will bring widespread rain on Friday. In fact, we are under the threat of localized flooding with the potential for 2-3 inches of rain to fall in spots.

Then, some afternoon sun tries to break out. This, however, will generate more instability and bring the threat of a few scattered afternoon storms. Parts of our area north of the city are in a marginal (Level 1) risk of severe weather.

Partly cloudy and warm with thunderstorms in the area, Broad Street Forecast Saturday will start with sunshine and warmth, but scattered storms return by late afternoon and a line of potentially severe storms will approach in the evening. The greatest threat is from the city in the northwest, as those storms will lift north into Sunday morning. The greatest threat will be damaging winds and large hail.
