AbstractSleep-disordered breathing (SDB) is a prevalent disorder characterized by recurrent episodic upper airway obstruction. Using data from the Hispanic Community Health Study/Study of Latinos (HCHS/SOL), we apply principal component analysis (PCA) to seven SDB-related measures. We estimate the associations of the top two SDB PCs with serum levels of 617 metabolites, in both single-metabolite analysis, and a joint penalized regression analysis.

Tosyl cyanide is a commonly used reagent for cyanation and sulfonylation in organic synthesis and pharmaceutical chemistry. The photocatalytic transformations of tosyl cyanide are generally conducted under mild conditions with good efficiency. This minireview summarizes the recent progress of radical-involved transformations of tosyl cyanide via photo-induced cyanation or sulfonylcyanation.

Elemental white phosphorous (P4) is a crucial feedstock for the entire phosphorus-derived chemical industry, serving as a common precursor for the ultimate preparation of high-grade monophosphorus (P1) fine chemicals. Whereas the corresponding manufacturing processes generally suffer from a deep reliance on hazardous reagents, inputs of immense energy, emissions of toxic pollutants, and the generation of substantial waste, which in turn contributes to negative impacts on the environment.
