    A man convicted of killing a foster child in his care has been found dead in his jail cell. Rick Thorburn murdered 12-year-old schoolgirl Tiahleigh Palmer in 2015 and was sentenced to life in prison. Thorburn was found dead in his cell in regional Queensland on Friday, and is understood to have taken his own life. A Queensland Corrective Services spokeswoman confirmed the death of Thorburn to NewsWire.
