GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) -Gulfport rifleman Craig Martin came home as a world champion with a .50 caliber rifle last year, and this year he can add another plaque and belt buckle to the trophy case. Martin came back to the coast as a back-to-back world champion after claiming the “Top Gun” title for the second year in a row out in New Mexico at the Fifty Caliber Shooter’s Association world championships.

PERKINSTON, Miss. (WLOX) -The new Mississippi Gulf Coast women’s volleyball team will begin play in fall 2025, and Shayna Walsh has been entrusted as the first coach of MGCCC’s newest athletic program. The school has hired the proven winner to build the team. “Getting the opportunity to start this volleyball program at Gulf Coast is such a special thing,” she said. “The sky is the limit for this program.
