Milwaukee welcomes a new neighbor, perhaps one that's been flying under the radar for years now. The super rare kelp gull has been seen nesting on Milwaukee's lakefront. The bird is typically found in South America, New Zealand and even Australia, marking a first for the city and the state. Tom Schultz, an avid bird-watcher and former president of the Wisconsin Society for Ornithology, says he spotted the bird back in May, but believes its been here much longer, just unknown to most.
