As the Milwaukee Milkmen played their season opener game Friday night against Gary Indiana's SouthShore RailCats at Franklin Field, neighbors living around the stadium said the noise level was an improvement from years past. Tuesday, the Franklin Common Council voted to increase the noise limits at the ballpark for Milkmen games, despite the complaints from neighbors. "Its decibel, decibel, decibel. What are you all accomplishing as a council?" one upset neighbor said Tuesday.

The Franklin Common Council voted Tuesday to allow Milwaukee Milkmen baseball games at the Rock Sports Complex to be louder, after placing a noise limit on complex last year. The change comes after years of noise complaints from people living in neighborhoods around the complex, who argue the baseball games and events at the park are disruptive and obnoxious.

A 14-year-old girl from Illinois who went missing in Milwaukee after walking out of an in-patient mental health facility has been found safe, but not without additional trauma, her mother says. Milwaukee police said 14-year-old Olivia Hanson was last seen in the area of 88th Street and Vienna Avenue April 17. Hanson's mother, Virginia Attaway, said her daughter walked out of Lad Lake St. Rose campus around 8:30 that night, and stopped making contact with family.
