Staff Reporter. @APPhoto. Former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal has returned home, having been discharged from the hospital on Friday, four days after he had suffered a heart attack. Tamim will continue to be monitored by specialists for the next few weeks after having undergone an angioplasty surgery on Monday. Tamim, 36, was rushed to hospital after complaining of severe chest pains while playing in a Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League match on Monday.

By Lehlohonolo Lehana. The National Alliance (NA) president Gary van Niekerk has been reinstated as Nelson Mandela Bay’s municipality deputy mayor. Van Niekerk was suspended last December after he was charged with two counts related to cybercrime and for contravening the Municipal Finance Management Act. The council voted in favour of rescinding a December 12 decision to suspend him.
