Tamim will continue to be monitored by specialists for the next few weeks after having undergone an angioplasty surgery on Monday. Tamim, 36, was rushed to hospital after complaining of severe chest pains while playing in a Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League match on Monday.

Van Niekerk was suspended last December after he was charged with two counts related to cybercrime and for contravening the Municipal Finance Management Act. The council voted in favour of rescinding a December 12 decision to suspend him.

Chairperson Anthea Ramolobeng said this is increasing the burden on South Africa’ prisons. Over 22,600 foreigners are filling correctional centres, and in some prisons, the number of foreign nationals outnumbers local inmates.
