NORWALK, Conn. — Changes are coming to Norwalk’s trash collection system, with the Common Council voting April 22 to approve updates to the city’s solid waste ordinance, including new standardized garbage bins for residents in the Fourth Taxing District. Starting this summer, residents will receive black and red trash bins, replacing the current system where household waste is collected in a variety of containers. The move is part of a seven-year contract with WIN Waste Innovations.
