The Greater Sudbury Cubs jumped out to a 2-0 lead en route to a series-clinching 5-0 victory over the Thunderbirds at the John Rhodes Community Centre. With the win, the Cubs capped off a second-round sweep of the Thunderbirds to advance to the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League final.

    It was an unexpected time, but the Soo Thunderbirds and Greater Sudbury Cubs finally got to play in the Sault on Tuesday. Weather issues caused the Cubs trip to the Sault to be delayed on Monday, forcing the postponement of the third game in their second round Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League series. The game was ultimately moved to late Tuesday afternoon at the John Rhodes Community Centre, a game in which the Cubs won by a 6-3 margin.

    With one game left on the docket and a chance at a medal, Brad Jacobs and his Canadian teammates finished the 2025 World Men’s Curling Championship on a high note. The Jacobs rink, which includes third Marc Kennedy, second Brett Gallant, and lead Ben Hebert rolled to an 11-2 win over China, skipped by Xiaoming Xu, Sunday in Moose Jaw, Sask. With the win, the Canadian team won bronze at the nine-day tournament.

Roster change for tonight's game for the Soo Greyhounds. Noah Metivier has been added to the roster from the Soo Thunderbirds. Noah Tegelaar is no longer listed. Collingwood has a pair of games this weekend to end the regular season #OHL
