Police have uncovered a sprawling cannabis farm in a disused commercial site. Officers were carrying out patrols after a report of suspicious activity in Ramsgate yesterday when they discovered more than 1,000 plants. The illicit growing site was located in a disused commercial premises in Broad Street. Police say the electricity and the water supplies were also found to have been tampered with and engineers were called in as a precaution to ensure the area was safe.

A man and a woman have been flown to London hospital with serious injuries after an attack inside a home. Police arrested the man in connection with the assault at a home in Island Wall, Whitstable yesterday evening. An air ambulance landed at Cornwallis Circle Recreation Ground before heading to King’s College Hospital in London. A police spokesman said: “The man has also been arrested in relation to the incident and police are not currently looking for anyone else.

Police have discovered a body in the search for a missing man. Officers and paramedics were called to Seasalter near Whitstable yesterday evening, where a man was pronounced dead at the scene. The force had earlier issued an appeal to help find Edward Parry, who was last seen in the area at 3pm on Monday. A police spokesman says formal identification is yet to take place but the family of the missing 54-year-old man, who was from the area, have been informed.

Police are growing concerned for the welfare of a man who has been missing for two days. Edward Parry was last seen in the Seasalter area of Whitstable on Monday at 3pm. The 54-year-old is described as white, with short, brown hair and blue eyes. It is thought he may be wearing black tracksuit bottoms, a black top and black and white trainers.
