ROUND ROCK, Texas (BCH Sports) – The McMurry War Hawks were defeated by the Concordia Tornados in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship Elimination Game in ten innings by a score of 11-7. It was an exciting back and forth affair, until Concordia appeared to be in full control when they grabbed a 7-3 lead in the 7th inning. All hope seemed lost as the War Hawks were down to their last strike, but Michael Smosna came through with a game-tying base hit.

ABILENE, Texas (BCH Sports) – Both the McMurry Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams were in action on Sunday afternoon, taking on the Schreiner University Mountaineers. The ladies were able to take care of business in dominant fashion, winning by a score of 74-37. With the win, McMurry improves to 5-1 in SCAC play, continuing what has been an impressive stretch of the season. They’ll look to continue this momentum as they face Texas Lutheran on the road this Friday at 5:30 PM.

ABILENE, Texas (BCH Sports) – Here is your recap from Friday night’s High School Basketball action. The Cooper Boys Basketball Team was defeated by Wichita Falls Legacy by a score of 30-27. It was a low-scoring affair throughout, but the Cougars held a lead until the Leopards had a late rally to steal the win. With the loss, Cooper remains as the only team in their district that remains winless in district play.

ABILENE, Texas (BCH Sports) – The Hardin-Simmons Cowgirls are on a roll. After losing in the sweet 16 last year, the HSU Women’s Basketball Team has only one loss through 15 games this season. Of course, it’s a new season with conference play about to begin, and these girls have a target on their backs. They are the favorites to win the American Southwest Conference, but of course, it’s easier said than done. The team thinks they’ve got what it takes to win it and much more.
