The Coleman Bluecats are one of the teams hard at work to improve on their 4-8 record from 2024. The Cats lost their first seven games of the year, but they closed the season with four wins in their last five games. Included in that win total is a bi-district championship.     STAMFORD, Texas (BCH Sports) – The Stamford Bulldogs season came to an end on Thursday night in Stephenville. Defending state champion Collinsville swept the Bulldogs with back to back 6-1 victories. The loses ended a great athletic year for Stamford, and even in defeat, head coach Steven Gould had nothing but praise for his team that advanced to the Class 2A Division II semifinals. Gould said, “I was proud of the way they never gave up even when it looked like it was coming to an end.

    HAMLIN, Texas (BCH Sports) – The Hamlin Pied Pipers are on the verge of ending their best season in baseball since 2003. The Pipers lost Game 1 of their state semifinal series with Gordon, 14-1. After taking Friday night off, the two teams meet for Game 2 at ACU’s Bullock Brothers Ballpark. Hamlin wanted to play the entire series at one place, but that didn’t work out. They played Game 1 in Graham on Thursday night, and now, the Pipers play the second game a little closer to home in Abilene.

    ABILENE, Texas (BCH Sports) – The Stamford Bulldogs and Hamlin Pied Pipers ran into buzz saws on Thursday night in the high school baseball semifinals. Stamford fell behind early in Game 1 of their series with Collinsville, and the Bulldogs weren’t able to get anything going against the Pirates pitching. Collinsville wins Game 1, 6-1. Stamford got off to a good start in Game 2 against the Pirates. They scored a run in the top of the first inning to take their first lead of the day.
