It wasn’t until elementary school that he found his greatest passion. “My mom saw an ad in the newspaper for the Treasure Valley League in fifth grade,” Gannon said. “Me and a buddy were both quitting baseball at the same time.

BOISE, Idaho — Boise resident Michael Veit traded his engineering calculator for foosball flippers when he retired, and the gamble paid off big time. He’s played since 2006, but recently started competing on the pro foosball tour, travelling to tournaments around the country. In 2023, he qualified for the seniors division of the Foosball World Cup. He is one of 98 Americans who will be competing. Since then, he’s ramped up his tour schedule, competing in 29 events.

BOISE, Idaho — The first season of the Pat McCurry head coaching era at Boise State is off to a good start, as the Bronco Track and Field team boasts three qualifiers for the NCAA Championships this week in Eugene, Oregon. The trio represents the first time Boise State has had multiple qualifiers in the same year since 2021 and the first time they are sending both men's and women's teams to the championships since 2016.
