BOISE, Idaho — Katie Van Lier, co-founder and executive director of Tree Town Tennis, spends her Saturday mornings with her husband, Calix, giving lessons to players of all ages. They believe in the benefits of the sport and believe there is a lack of facilities to play it in the Treasure Valley. “I think tennis teaches you how to battle. It teaches you how to be humble; you can't gloat. You have to be patient because it takes time to learn the game,” Katie Van Lier said.

Reports circulated throughout the past week that Moore was the frontrunner for the NFL’s final head coaching vacancy, but the Saints had to wait until after the Super Bowl to make the hire official, with Moore calling plays as the Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator. At the age of 36, Moore is now the youngest head coach in the NFL, replacing Seattle’s Mike McDonald (37).

The Storm have started their season with a 6-0 record. Southern Idaho Conference members Boise (8-2) and Eagle (7-0) hold the number 2 and 3 spots respectively, while defending 5A champion Coeur d’Alene ranks fourth.

Whether it is hand cycles or sit skis, the technology still has plenty of room to grow, and Sweeney has the kind of experience to get it there. Fresh out of high school, Sweeney joined the Marines.
