DETROIT – A Michigan man has been charged with murder in connection to the 2020 disappearance of a Detroit woman. Michigan State Police said Thursday that Keyvonte Deshawn Clark, 31, of Detroit, was arraigned in the 36th District Court for first-degree murder, mutilation of a dead body, felon in possession of a firearm and felony firearm.

DETROIT – Agents intercepted more than 339 pounds of cocaine at the Michigan-Canada border in Detroit. According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection the drugs were seized near the Ambassador Bridge port of entry into Canada on Tuesday. Officials say a Canada-bound commercial vehicle was selected for examination and officers subsequently found bricks of a white powdery substance concealed within two duffel bags and four moving boxes.

Three people are dead after two boats collided during a professional fishing tournament in Alabama. Major League Fishing said in a statement that the boating accident occurred on Lewis Smith Lake during the second day of the Tackle Warehouse Invitational. The lake is a popular fishing destination located about 70 miles north of Birmingham. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the crash.

A legendary chapter of “College Gameday” is coming to an end. ESPN announced Thursday that Lee Corso, a former coach who for 38 seasons has charmed and entertained on the Saturday morning college football pregame show, is set to retire. Corso, who turns 90 in August, will make his final headgear pick at a yet-to-be announced destination on Aug. 30. Much like Dick Vitale on the college basketball side, Corso has been synonymous with the sport and the pregame show since its debuted in 1987.

LEWISTON, MI – A Michigan man accused of impersonating an emergency responder said he was “going to a call” when stopped by officers. The Department of Natural Resources said that Douglas Allen Smith, 66, of Lewiston, pleaded not guilty in the Montmorency County 88th District Court on April 11.
