A former Big Ten basketball star has been charged after he was pulled over for speeding. The Indianapolis Star reported Wednesday that Zach Edey, a back-to-back national player of the year during his time at Purdue, is facing a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving. Indiana State Police told the newspaper they stopped the 7-foot-4 Edey, now a member of the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies, driving a Kia Sorento 101 mph in a 55-mph zone on Indiana 25 in Tippecanoe County on May 1.

POTTERVILLE, MI – More details have emerged regarding the death of a construction worker at a Michigan high school. According to a report from the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the death a 27-year-old at a gym at Potterville High School on June 16 is the 12th workplace fatality of 2025. The MIOSHA report indicates that two employees were working on an aerial lift setting steel trusses when the incident occurred.

DETROIT -- The baby is coming! Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Bryan Reynolds left Tuesday’s loss to the Detroit Tigers in Detroit in the second inning after his wife went into labor, the team announced. Reynolds, a 2-time All-Star, struck out to end the top of the first. He didn’t see any action in the outfield in the bottom of the inning before he was replaced by Alexander Canario in right field.
