    A bomb threat to the Reading Public Library Saturday morning was an “attempt to disrupt” a Pride event planned there and is being investigated as a “biased motivated crime,” town officials said. The emailed threat arrived moments before the “Pride Storytime with Drag Friends”was to start at 10 a.m. The building was immediately evacuated. The library building and the town hall, which was also mentioned in the email, were searched, town officials said in a statement.

    Authorities arrested a Chelsea man after they found thousands of photos and hundreds of videos of child sexual abuse material on his phone, officials said Saturday. Timothy Brown, 38, was arrested for possession of child pornography at his apartment Saturday and is being held in lieu of $100,000 cash bail, State Police said in a statement.

    A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to the capture of a fugitive wanted in connection to the murders of a Worcester mother and her 11-year-old daughter, the US Marshals Service said Saturday. Dejan Dante Belnavis, 27, is wanted for armed assault to murder and carrying a firearm without a license, according to a social media post from the US Marshals Service in Boston.

    A man was found dead at Nelson Memorial Park in Plymouth Saturday morning, officials said. The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was found in the water near 255 Water St., Plymouth police said in a statement. Foul play is not suspected, according to the Plymouth district attorney’s office.

    But a good chunk of the Boston Marathon course Saturday looked like it was hosting a Comic Con as hundreds of runners took to the icon race’s last 17 miles as part of CharityTeams Superhero 17 run, according to organizers. Dozens of runners dressed in costumes, some of them superheroes, ran from Natick 17 miles along the Boston Marathon course to the finish line on Boylston Street in Boston.
