Erin of Vancouver punk band Alien Boys told us about her love for her Gibson SG-1. Erin: I play a '90s era Gibson SG-1 through a modified Marshall JCM 900 half stack. I like it real simple, no pedals, only one pickup, no muss no fuss. It's more than my favorite; I wouldn't want to play anything else. After hundreds of shows my amp looks like its been to hell and back. The logo is so mangled when soundtechs ask about it I tell them it's my off-brand knock-off 'Marsnall'.

The likes of The Soul Rebels, Derrick Hodge, The Hands of Time and many more wowed a crowd of jazz heads in the gorgeous Bowl setting. On the first day, The Isley Brothers headlined but we were there for day 2 only.

From the ball on the sleeve that appears to actually be emitting heat somehow, to the fact that the vinyl is really fucking weighty, to the mention of the often-dreaded words "math-rock" in the press release, to the fact that side A of four sides has just one song on it (the title track). We're obviously in for a ride.
