Aaron Rodgers may or may not play for the Steelers this season, but the discussion around his status has become so mind-numbing that I am not sure what the actual talking points actually are anymore. Post-Gazette columnist Jason Mackey was the latest to sound off about how the Steelers should “move on” from Rodgers. To him and everyone else with this opinion, I ask this: move on to what? This is not to pick on Mackey — he is a colleague and does great work.

Pre-draft prospect visits may start losing their luster. The Jaguars’ new front office is opting out of them entirely, which is no coincidence considering their 34-year-old general manager James Gladstone comes from the Rams, who prefer to meet with players outside their facility (which also are not required to be reported to the NFL). Other franchises are using them sparingly, perhaps only on the elite of the elite talents in some cases.
