The Highland Park native Is one of five History Makers Award winners chosen by the Senator John Heinz History Center. They will be honored at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at an awards dinner at the History Center in the Strip District. Owunna was chosen for his art.

Most courses have signature holes that feature sprawling lakes, tree-lined fairways, island greens, even the ocean. Not many are identified by a sand bunker. Maybe only one. Oakmont. For a club known for having the fastest greens in the world, Oakmont is most visually associated with a sand bunker. And not just any sand bunker. The Church Pews bunker. It is the most identifiable aspect of the club that is hosting the U.S. Open for a record 10th time.
