The Lansing Lugnuts are off to a strong start. They own a 16-11 record and find themselves in second place in the Midwest League Eastern Division - a game behind the first place West Michigan Whitecaps. And a number of strong performances have helped put the Lugnuts in a strong position as they enter a big six-game road series against West Michigan (17-10) that begins May 6. Gage Jump has been among the top performers and was named the Midwest League Pitcher of the Week on May 5.
