The Eagles used a 3-run sixth inning to secure the victory over the Blue Streaks. It was the home side that cracked the scoreboard first. In the opening frame, Emily Ruscio singled into center field, bringing Ava Goodman in for the score to give Saratoga the early edge.

    LATHAM, NY (NEWS10) — The Niskayuna Boys Lacrosse team remained unbeaten in Suburban Council play with a 7-6 win over Shaker in a state ranked battle. The 13th ranked Silver Warriors erased a 3-goal halftime deficit to rally against the 14th ranked Blue Bison, with Dillon Licht scoring the game winner with less than 2 minutes to play in regulation. After Shaker jumped out to a 5-2 halftime lead, the Silver Warriors stormed back in the third quarter scoring 4 unanswered goals.

    TROY, NY (NEWS10) — The Tri-City ValleyCats fell 4-2 on Opening Night to the Brockton Rox at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium on Saturday. Brockton opened the scoring in the second inning. Derek Bender led off with a single against Arlo Mayrnczak and moved to second on a passed ball. Evan Giordano then collected an RBI single to give the Rox a 1-0 lead. The ValleyCats would not respond until the seventh.

    ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) — The Colonie Softball team defended home field to win a state-ranked battle with Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake on Thursday by a score of 5-4. The Wolfpack entered play ranked No. 7 in Class AAA, while the Spartans began the day as the No. 3 team in Class AA. It was the Wolf Pack jumping out to the early lead. Katie Parisi crushed a solo home run to left-center in the bottom of the first to give Colonie the early 1-0 lead.

    NISKAYUNA, NY (NEWS10) — The Niskayuna Boys Lacrosse team earned an impressive, 22-4 victory over CBA Thursday night in a battle of state-ranked teams. The Silver Warriors entered the contest as the No. 13 team in Class A, while the Brothers were ranked No. 15 in Class B. It took four minutes before either side cracked the scoreboard, but once the Silvers Warriors found the back of the net for the first time, they did not slow down.
