Their years of service collectively span from 1950 to 2003. Each of them will see the nation’s capital for the very first time. “I’ve been ready to go since I signed me up,” Vietnam Navy Veteran Andy Wright said.

Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Fresno Area surprised them with the news during a groundbreaking ceremony at the San Joaquin Villas subdivision. “I know that this is the moment when their lives are going to change forever,” CEO Ashley Hedemann said. The organization broke ground on seven new homes.

AB 1435 would let business owners write it off on their taxes if they clean up trash from a homeless camp. One such business owner, Raffi Pilavian, could be directly impacted. While showing our team around his International Torque Converters property, he pointed out numerous campsites along the side of his fence.

KERN COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A Kern County fugitive was arrested in Mexico Thursday. Cesar Hernandez, 35, was on the run for more than four months after escaping custody Dec. 2, 2024. He was serving 80 years to life in a Delano prison for first-degree murder. Police say he killed someone in 2019 and then kept racking up charges while in prison. Last year, he was charged with making a weapon and possessing drugs in prison.

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The deadline for travelers to get a Real ID is approaching. TSA will no longer accept state-issued driver’s licenses starting May 7. “That is less than three weeks from today,” TSA Spokesperson Lorie Dankers said. Dankers says they have been warning people about the change for several years, but 19% of travelers still don’t have a Real ID. Many have either procrastinated getting one or have completely forgotten about it.
