Seventeen-year-old Adam Strickland, a Life Scout with Troop 23, is building a live beehive exhibit as part of his Eagle Scout project. The display will feature a 3D-printed structure with a plexiglass front, allowing visitors to safely observe bees up close.

    WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WCTV) - A well-traveled stretch of the Ochlockonee River Channel is getting a potentially life-saving safety upgrade. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission awarded Wakulla County $152,750 to repair or replace broken and missing navigation markers along the key river channel at Bald Point. The markers guide boaters and commercial fishers through shifting waters. “The channel markers are very, very bad,” Joel Wier, a local charter captain, said.

Sarah Stilwell and her son Dallas were near campus Thursday when they heard gunshots ring out. They were on their way to a Boy Scout event at the Florida State Capitol and stopped at a red light at the intersection of Monroe and Tennessee when, she said, things took a surreal turn.

(WCTV/Gray News) - Florida State University students returned Monday under a cloud of grief, just four days after a deadly on-campus shooting that left two dead and injured six others. Student Phoenix Ikner is accused of opening fire on the university’s campus Thursday, according to authorities. The 20-year-old was also identified as the stepson of Leon County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Jessica Ikner.
