Baylor picked up an in-conference transfer on Friday, announcing the addition of Arizona guard Will Kuykendall to its 2025-26 roster. Kuykendall saw action in three games last season for the Wildcats, totaling three minutes while failing to register any points, rebounds or assists. The 6-3 guard played his high school ball at St. Joseph in Santa Maria, Calif., where he was a teammate of incoming Baylor freshman forward Tounde Yessoufou, a McDonald’s All-American.

The legend of Robert Griffin III wasn’t born on the turf of Floyd Casey Stadium. Nor was it born while bamboozling defenders in the NFL on FedEx Field. No, the true legend of Robert Griffin III — the guy who became known as RG3 — was born on the tartan track and field surfaces in his hometown of Copperas Cove. The kid was fast. He was always fast. “His sister was one of our office aides in the athletic department,” said Jack Welch, former head football coach and athletic director at Cove.

Get Aynsli Lawson a Grand Slam breakfast from Denny’s. She deserves it. In fact, get those softball-playing ladies from McLennan Community College all the goodies and treats that they want. They’re going back to the World Series, baby.

If you made the NBA All-Star Team, if you coached your team to back-to-back championships, if you won an Olympic gold medal, you might feel compelled to thump your chest and brag a little bit. Who wouldn’t? Everything on that list is a really big deal. Rudy Tomjanovich has done all of that and more. And yet Tomjanovich — better known as Rudy T – remains as gracious and humble as any sports legend you could hope to meet. OK, I’m admittedly biased. Rudy T is my coach, man.

Baylor’s incoming basketball roster got bigger in both number and in length on Wednesday with the addition of Ramon “Mayo” Soyoye. A 6-foot-10 center who played at Blair Academy in New Jersey, Soyoye is a native Nigerian who moved to the United States in his youth and was raised in Georgia. He’s the third Class of 2025 signee to join Baylor as an incoming freshman, following forwards Tounde Yessoufou and Andre Iguadola II.

The Highlanders of ⁦@McLennanSports⁩ getting ready for the NJCAA Softball Selection Show. They’ve already qualified for the World Series, should be a 1 or 2 seed. https://t.co/E9chubCyPu

I will never understand the "lottery is rigged" chorus. Happens every year. Why is Flagg to Dallas evidence that it's rigged? Ridiculous.

Hmm, you know there's another team in Texas with a pretty loaded young roster ... Bring it. #clutchcity

Flagg & the @Mavs are the lede but @spurs Wemby, Castle and Dylan Harper will be the story in a short period of time.
