    A bizarre encounter between a 13-year-old and an adult male in Westbrook is every parent's nightmare. Westbrook Police have charged Antonio Henriques, 26, of Portland with assault and violation of bail conditions. Officials say the latter charge stems from an unrelated case. It was just after 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025 when Westbrook Police received a call from someone who said an unknown man had grabbed their 13-year-old family member while the victim was walking home.

    A man was seriously injured when his ATV crashed in West Forks. The name of the operator has not been released. According to the West Forks Volunteer Fire and Rescue, crews were called to the Bald Mountain Trail at approximately 2:30 Saturday afternoon for a report of an ATV crash. Officials say the driver was navigating his ATV through a large dip in the road when the ATV went up in the air, falling backward, and ejecting the driver. The man was not wearing a helmet and suffered head injuries.

In a post on the school's Facebook page, administrators say that the school is closing early because of a 'safety concern' communicated through social media. Bucksport's Public Safety departments are assisting the school with the situation. How students are being dismissed depends on their mode of transportation:Students that usually depart the school by bus will be taken by bus to their home address.

    People in the town of Jay, Maine, are being asked by local law enforcement to keep an eye out for fake money that is making the rounds in town and being accepted as the real thing. Unfortunately, it's easy to be fooled if you aren't paying close attention. The Jay Police Department posted photos of these fake $100 bills on Facebook. At first glance, they look legit, because they were legally made to look completely legitimate and for a reason that doesn't involve forgery.
