Is there anywhere in Maine that you wouldn't go to because it is too “touristy” (Yes, it is a word, I checked)Warm weather is coming, which got me to thinking about how much I love Bar Harbor, and Old Orchard Beach, but maybe I don’t enjoy both of those spots as much as I should, because each time I go, there seems to be a ton of traffic and out of state visitors. This year should be particularly interesting, due to the recent chilly relations between the United States and Canada.

To this day, there are people who can't say "Bangor" correctly. It's not "Banger" FYI... There is something both charming and slightly annoying about the Maine accent. Being in the radio biz, I’ve been trying to lose my Maine accent for years, but every once in a while, it slips out. As any Mainer knows, the secret to the perfect Maine accent is replacing the '-er' at the end of a word, with the letters '-ah'.
