NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A wetter pattern is moving in this week. As a front moves south in the region, a complex of storms may form, dropping south. Damaging winds, hail, and lightning are the main threats, along with heavy flooding rain. Another round of storms comes on Tuesday, keeping temperatures lower in the upper 80s. As storms pop up on the lake and sea breeze boundaries through the afternoon, motion will be slow with heavy rain possible. Some areas could get a quick 5″+, so stay weather aware.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The heat is cranking up this week, but storm chances are also returning. Temperatures climb to the low 90s, and dew points increase slowly. On Wednesday, a plume of moisture is expected to bring an increase in afternoon showers and storms. Lightning and gusty winds are threats with these storms. A more typical summer pattern is locking in with spotty afternoon and early evening showers and thunderstorms. It will be warm to hot and humid as we round out the week.
