    A Beverly man has been arrested after allegedly leading police on a highway chase through Worcester County early Friday morning. State Police responded to multiple reports of a wrong-way driver on Interstate 290 shortly after 4:00 a.m., a Massachusetts State Police spokesperson told Boston 25 News. Responding troopers found and attempted to stop the vehicle but the suspected driver avoided police and continued on Route 85 in Marlboro in the proper lane.

Witnesses told Boston 25 News the cab was speeding toward the Boston Harbor Hotel when it took a sharp turn, hopped over a curb and struck a woman. The cab then continued down the street, sideswiping multiple cars before finally coming to a stop. Boston EMS told Boston 25 News that the woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was being treated at a hospital.

    Police in New Hampshire are searching for a missing teen girl who has not been seen for more than a week. Gabriela Moreira, 13, was last seen on the morning on April 9 at her family’s home on Candia Road in Manchester, according to police. When she was last seen was wearing a light gray sweater, black leggings, and Nike sneakers, and was carrying a light purple backpack. Police say she did not have her cellphone with her and she has not contacted her family.

    A Boston police officer opened fire on a “vicious” dog near the Boston Public Library, just a short distance from the Boston Marathon finish line on Thursday morning, authorities said. Officers responding to a call for a removal request at the BPL’s main branch at 700 Boylston Street in Copley Square just before 9:30 a.m. encountered the dog in question, a Boston Police Department spokesman told Boston 25 News.
