Attendees gathered on the library lawn among boxes and shoes, a visual representation of the items left behind by those forced to leave in a hurry, a message to the community ahead of a commission decision on funding a tenant right to counsel program in the city.

BOZEMAN, Mont. — Gallatin County planners are currently working to collect feedback from residents to guide their development of a model zoning code for affordable housing projects. The model code will be focused on the county’s urban and rural growth areas, mainly Four Corners and Gallatin Gateway, as they either already have infrastructure in place or are anticipated to have infrastructure in place in the future to support the development of affordable housing projects.

BOZEMAN, Mont. — This weekend, the Gallatin Valley land Trust is celebrating National Trails Day with their biggest volunteer event of the year. The organization is seeking volunteers of all ages to lend a hand this Saturday at Peet’s Hill from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to help with a variety of tasks including clearing vegetation, spreading gravel, clearing drains and repairing fences.

BOZEMAN, Mont. — Bozeman is currently completing construction on a number of projects under their Parks, Trails and Active Transportation Plan. Officials gave an update to the city’s Urban Parks and Forestry Board this week. At Story Mill Park, the city is working to add additional parking spaces to alleviate current challenges with the construction of a new lot on the east side of the park, which will connect Hillside Lane to Griffin Drive.

BOZEMAN, Mont. — Ahead of the application deadline for the Bozeman’s Park Land Trust Community Grant Program, members of the Urban Parks and Forestry Board discussed revised review criteria for projects. City officials say to date, they have already received several applications for the recently launched program, including from the Bozeman Public Library, the Emily Dickinson School and the Gallatin Watershed Council.
