The Absecon man who was struck in a hit-and-run last weekend is still in the hospital with serious injuries that will require extensive medical treatment, surgeries and a long road to recovery, according to a GoFundMe that's been set up to help with the costs. Syed Hoque, 25, was walking his dog, Duca, near Highland Boulevard and Marlborough Avenue shortly after midnight Nov. 30 when they were struck by a car that fled the scene.

Fresno State has posted its basketball coach job. It provides some insight on what it is looking for and could narrow the pool of candidates, but no hint at how fast the university will move. The posting lists an anticipated salary range of $49,583 per month, just shy of $600,000 a year, which while a little more than Fresno State paid coach Justin Hutson, it still ranks at the bottom of the public schools in the Mountain West Conference.

Needham joined the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of UTEP in 2019. After failing to make the initial 53-man roster as a rookie and signing to the practice squad, Needham was elevated, due to an injury to starter Xavien Howards, and proceeded to start 11 of his 12 appearances for the rest of the year. As a surprise undrafted rookie starter, Needham recorded two interceptions and 11 passes defensed.

Less than a year after the Dolphins acquired Jalen Ramseyto pair him with Howard, they will move on from the latter. The two-time All-Pro will soon become a high-profile free agent.

" The length of this rehabilitation is kind of dictated on a couple of things that could occur in the surgery," McDaniel said, via Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN. " So the exact timeline is a little too big to be determined. What I can tell you is I don't think the beginning of the regular season is really part of the scenario.

CB Nik Needham will begin training camp on the PUP List. Needham tore his Achilles against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 6 last year and missed the remainder of the season. He is still rehabbing his injury at this time, and other is no time frame for when he will be removed from the PUP List. Needham joined Miami as a UDFA in 2019 out of UTEP and quickly won himself playing time with his quality of play in the opportunities he got.

Coinciding with Miami’s salary cap increasing to about $15 million following the Jones savings, the Dolphins could do the equivalent of gifting fans the shiny toy they have been wish-listing for years. At a press conference on Wednesday, Dolphins’ head coach Mike McDaniel was humorously coy with his knowledge of the added funds when asked. “We are aware that that’s occurring, and we typically do everything we can to have the best team possible within the guidelines of the salary cap,” he said.
