The witness was working at the Turcotte Fish Hatchery, just seven hundred yards from where the medical helicopter went down. He says after hearing that boom, he turned around and watched the chopper pitching up and down, descending at a 45-degree angle.

RANKIN CO., Miss. (WLBT) - One day after a former Richland mayor was indicted from findings from a 3 On Your Side Investigation, another man tied to that exposé has been cleared. On Thursday, WLBT learned that a Rankin County grand jury did not indict former Pearl Police Chief Dean Scott last month. That means he will not face any criminal charges.

(WLBT) - Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba has been indicted by a federal grand jury in the same Jackson bribery scandal that took down a city councilwoman last monthMayor Lumumba confirmed the news Wednesday evening during a video released to WLBT News. The news comes weeks after Sherik Marve Smith pleaded guilty in connection with the scandal. Smith’s role involved funneling money to two unnamed city officials, one whom the documents intimate is Lumumba - though that was not confirmed.
