The Who on Thursday announced that the group will bring its final tour of the United States and Canada to Las Vegas later this year. The Who will conclude the tour in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday, Sept. 28, the group announced in a news release. Calling it “a truly grand finale of their illustrious six-decade career,” The Who said the band will perform hit songs from their entire catalog as part of the tour. The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash early Monday morning that left a pedestrian dead. According to police, the incident occurred at about 3:20 a.m. near Flamingo Road and , Street. Authorities say a sedan was traveling east on Flamingo Road when a female pedestrian was crossing the street east of Palos Verdes, outside of a marked crosswalk. The sedan struck the female and left the scene, police said, noting that the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a crash Friday morning that left a juvenile pedestrian with critical injuries. According to police, the crash, which involved a pedestrian and a vehicle, occurred at about 11:25 a.m. in the 7500 block of Whispering Sands Drive. The juvenile pedestrian was transported to UMC in critical condition, authorities said, noting that the vehicle remained at the scene. Arbor View High School is located in the area.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says a man was arrested in connection with an alleged kidnapping incident that forced a woman to jump out of a moving vehicle on a Las Vegas freeway. On April 25, troopers responded to a call near the area of Interstate 15 northbound and Flamingo Road, in which a caller described a vehicle with the passenger door open and a female passenger trying to jump out, according to the Highway Patrol. The woman jumped out of the moving vehicle and was later located, police said.

Police are asking for help identifying a man who authorities say allegedly tried to carjack someone in the northwest Las Vegas Valley. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred at about 8:19 p.m. April 25 near the 5000 block of North Rainbow Boulevard. Police say the man attempted to steal a vehicle by threatening the owners with a weapon. Authorities described the subject as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’7” with a thin build.

The Henderson Police Department is investigating a shooting Wednesday morning that left a woman dead, authorities said. According to police, officers responded to the 1200 block of Imperia Drive at about 9:59 a.m. in response to a shooting. Officers arriving at the scene located a deceased female and a male with a handgun. Authorities said that police attempted to communicate with the armed male for approximately 40 minutes.

A Utah-based soda chain that gained national attention from the Hulu reality show “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” is opening its second location in Las Vegas. According to a social media post from Swig, the company will open its new location at Rainbow Boulevard and Arby Avenue in the southwest Las Vegas Valley this weekend. The soda shop, at 7170 S. Rainbow Blvd., Suite 100-C, will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m., Swig’s website says.

Authorities investigated a fatal crash Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 11 near Boulder City. According to the Nevada Department of Public Safety website, the crash occurred just before 12:45 p.m. on northbound I-11 at Railroad Pass Casino Road. RTC advised that the NB I-11 was closed at Railroad Pass Casino. U.S. Highway 93 is also closed at I-11/Railroad Pass interchange, the agency said.
