"Mama Duck" was scheduled to be in town until Sunday, but due to a tear from high winds, she's heading home early. The 60-foot-tall duck was on Ocean Boulevard, grabbing people's attention about the importance of water safety.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) — The PGA Tour has returned to the Grand Strand with the Myrtle Beach Golf Classic, which tees off Thursday and runs through Sunday. The tournament, now in its second year, is expected to surpass last year's economic impact of over $15 million, according to Tracy Conner, interim CEO and president of the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce. "Last year, our economic impact was just over $15 million. It was $15.4 million. We had just beat all expectations," said Conner.
