    LA CONNER - What do the Banner Bank building on Memorial Highway, Anacortes Lutheran Church and the Skagit County Historical Museum have in common? They, along with other buildings in the area, were designed by Glen Alfred Davison of Mount Vernon. G.A. Davison died in 1999, but the contributions he made during his architectural career were recognized Saturday with the unveiling of a plaque at the Skagit County Historical Museum.

    MOUNT VERNON - The Skagit Valley Food Co-op held Friday its first $5 Community Dinner. As part of the co-op's monthly 5% Friday Community Giving Day, all proceeds from the meal and 5% of purchases made within the store went to Skagit Meals on Wheels, the Upper Skagit Library's Freedge Program and the Help Me Grow Skagit Resource Center.
