In the first two days of the NCAA basketball transfer portal spring cycle, Pitt has seen four players enter their names with plans to depart the program. The group includes redshirt first-year forward Marlon Barnes, junior forwards Guillermo Diaz-Graham and Jorge Diaz-Graham and first-year guard Amsal Delalić. The first player to announce their departure from the program was Barnes. It was first reported Sunday night that he would look for a new school to join.

Most days, Pitt Johnstown sophomore Kaylee Frederick’s routine looks like any other college student’s, managing school, a job, homework, health and a social life. But Frederick has one more thing to balance — when she’s not doing any of the aforementioned things, she’s running ultramarathons. A marathon is 26.2 miles long, and an ultramarathon is any length that goes past that.

Many athletes have gained a following and can use these platforms in different ways. Pitt senior linebacker Brandon George knew he wanted to use his to do good and support something that meant a lot to him personally. With that in mind, this year he established his own charity campaign, B-Cause.
