ALPHARETTA, Ga. — The amount of the settlement between three Muslim women and Perry Greene, the ex-husband of Georgia U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, was announced Monday. Attorneys for the three women, all college students, said Greene paid $75,000, which they said they donated to their local mosque. “It is important that people understand this type of speech will not be tolerated and it needs to be addressed,” attorney Ali Awad said.

Channel 2′s Candace McCowan spoke to several CDC workers who say they were among those who were cut. Eileen Bell, who was months away from retirement, says she was included in the mass cuts on Tuesday morning. “It would have been 20 years October 1st,” said Bell.

ATLANTA — Several people whose homes flooded when Helene blew through metro Atlanta six months ago say they are frustrated and still not back in their homes. “We have not started construction yet,” Elisabeth Anderson, who is currently in a rental, told Channel 2′s Candace McCowan. Pictures of her home show the walls partially ripped out down to the studs. The water rose so quickly that she, her husband and their 7-week-old baby had to be rescued during the storm.
