State capitols in Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi and several other states were evacuated Wednesday after bomb threats in each state, officials said. Gabriel Sterling, Georgia's top elections official, said on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, that the opening of the Georgia State Capitol was delayed Wednesday morning until an all-clear was given. "There have been multiple bomb threats to state capitols around the nation," he wrote.

Ford is recalling certain F-150 pickup trucks with a part that could break and cause the vehicles to roll away when parked. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the truck's rear axle hub bolt could break and cause the axle hub splines to become damaged. "Damaged axle hub splines can result in a vehicle roll away when the vehicle is in park without the parking brake applied, or cause a loss of drive power," NHTSA official Alex Ansley wrote in a letter to Ford.

Russia and Ukraine on Wednesday exchanged hundreds of prisoners of war in the biggest single release of captives since Russia's full-scale invasion in February 2022. Ukrainian authorities said that 230 Ukrainian prisoners of war returned home in the first exchange in almost five months. Russia's Defense Ministry said that 248 Russian servicemen have been freed under the deal sponsored by the United Arab Emirates.
