The weather in Kern County is looking great. Temperatures will be a bit above average, hovering in the low 80s, but will stay consistent. Keep an eye out for strong winds making a comeback on the Mojave Desert slopes Friday night and Saturday. We might see a mix of clouds this weekend, along plenty of sunshine. Early next week, get ready for a little warm-up, with temperatures creeping up to around 90° before dropping back down to the 70s by the end of the work week.

In Bakersfield on Wednesday, we only reached a high of 59°, which is quite lower than the usual 73° for this time of year. The rain from tuesday has moved on, but we did manage to collect .16 inches in the rain gauge for Bakersfield, almost half an inch for Wofford Heights and nearly 1 inch of rain for Tehachapi. Despite the rain moving out, we are still feeling the effects of cooler air in our area.
