It will be a couple blocks down from the old Price Cutter that closed its doors on Division Street and Glenstone Avenue. “There’s just been a void since Price Cutter is gone,” said Tarance Campbell, who lives behind the proposed Dollar GeneralSpringfield City Council sold the land for $44,000 on E. Division to The Overland Group.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Neighbors helping neighbors on Tuesday after the storm blew through in the morning. One of those neighbors being Convoy of Hope. “It’s a mess,” said Ethan Forhetz, the national spokesperson for Convoy of Hope. “I mean, you drive around a lot of neighborhoods and there are trees down across roads, trees down on houses.”Convoy decided to help out their neighbors today by cutting up tree limbs and clearing roads in neighborhoods across northern Springfield.

WILLARD, Mo. — Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made comments about autism rates in America that are stirring up controversy online. One of those comments is that people with autism “will never hold a job.”“Several people who have differing needs are very employable,” said the director of The Hive, Melissa Skaggs. The Hive is a cafe in Willard that hires people to work 500 hours, giving them practice for other jobs.

BRANSON, Mo. – The 174th Helicopter Battalion Reunion took place in Branson on Friday. The 174th, known as the Sharks, was the only battalion authorized to have sharks with big teeth painted on their helicopters; those are the ones you’ve probably seen in movies. While they usually meet in Florida every year, this year Branson, Missouri was the chosen destination for the group. “It’s quite an experience to go back and meet guys you were in combat with,” said Ron Connor with the 174th.
