EARLEVILLE – An investigation is continuing after firefighters discovered a body inside an Earleville mobile home on Wednesday night while battling a blaze at that residence, according to the Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal. Investigators have not released the identity of the deceased person who was found inside that mobile home in the unit block of Kent Road, which is part of the Chesapeake Haven community on the north side of Grove Point.

NORTH EAST — A man is facing several criminal charges after he allegedly tried to grab an officer’s service handgun off his duty belt while resisting arrest inside a North East hotel, according to Cecil County Circuit District Court records. The charging document also alleges that the suspect — Colin Blake Solomon, 23, of Roxboro, N. C. — tried to grab the officer’s taser while the two struggled on the floor.

ELKTON — Two men remained jailed Tuesday after their purported suspicious behavior in the backyard of a residence in an Elkton neighborhood triggered an investigation, which led to officers confiscating a handgun and suspect heroin mixed with fentanyl from one of the suspects and burglary tools from the other, according to Cecil County District Court records. Investigators identified the suspects as Christopher Sembert, 33, of Charlestown and Joshua Parlier, 44, of Elkton.
