Three Baylor University international students have had their immigration status revoked by the federal government, part of a Trump administration push that has revoked visas or changed the immigration status of more than 250 students at Texas colleges, along with hundreds more nationally. Baylor University acknowledged the revocations in a statement to the Tribune-Herald on Tuesday.

McLennan Community College administrators are closely watching a proposed Texas House bill that could mean the college would get credit, and more than $100,000 in annual state revenue, for students who go on to Baylor University or other private universities. State law now gives community colleges credit, and the associated outcome-based funding, for their students who go on to four-year state colleges or universities, but not for students who go on to four-year private colleges or universities.

The Waco Symphony Orchestra’s upcoming 2025-26 season will provide variety for concert-goers with four classical soloists, a pops program with Broadway vocalists, a movie with live score and the holiday ballet “The Nutcracker.”The season, announced at the orchestra’s April 3 concert, builds upon the success of this season’s live movie concert of “Jurassic Park” and diversity in guest performers and Music Director Lawrence Loh’s programming, said WSO executive director Carolyn Bess.
