HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Westminster Christian Academy’s girls soccer team celebrated a 4A State Championship last season with 12 seniors on the roster. The Wildcats finished the 2025 season the exact same way last season ended. State Champions. Westminster defeated St. Michael’s 2-1 to win their third straight state championship. Westminster’s Caleigh Lewis put the Wildcats on topin the 24th minute Friday morning.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - The 2025 edition of Lake Guntersville’s Hydrofest kicks off June 6-8. Five Classes of race boats will compete on the Fastest Water in the South. The Super Stock Offshore make their debut for this year’s event. This offshore class of boats are powered by twin Mercury 300XS engines and can reach speeds of 110 mph. “My father will be in the boat driving and I’ll be in the boat throttling so it’s, you know, it’s a two person crew,” driver Mike Demeno said.
