Every person on the Pittsburgh Pirates has their role and does their best to do it well. For assistant coach Stephen Morales, one of his roles helps create a window for fans to connect to the players. Morales is the team's Spanish interpreter, but it wasn't his first job. "I came up as an assistant coach, and then Mike Gonzalez was the interpreter here," Morales said. Gonzalez left in 2023 and Morales stepped in right away. He said it's a title he holds with pride.

In less than 30 days, drivers who are caught holding any handheld device while driving will be pulled over. This is all in an effort to stop distracting driving. "It's very black and white. You shall not hold that electronic device in any manner while driving a vehicle. Clear cut, to the point," Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Rocco Gagliardi said. On June 5, Paul Miller’s Law will make holding any handheld device, like a cellphone, while driving on the road illegal.

A Plum native and student at Saint Vincent College is taking the bowling world by storm, aiding in the university's women's bowling team making its first NCAA appearance. Mareana Pilyih, 19, was named the 2024-2025 National Rookie of the Year by the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association and the NCAA Division III Rookie of the Year. However, if you ask her, those achievements still come as a surprise. "Sometimes it doesn't feel real that it actually happened," Pilyih said.

There was plenty of confusion for people traveling at Pittsburgh International Airport on Monday. "I think it's a mess. They need Chick-fil-A in here. Chick-fil-A will have this figured out in five minutes or less," Katie Defazio said. The airport made changes to its security checkpoints, and some travelers learned the hard way. "It doesn't help out because my husband, who doesn't have TSA PreCheck, is now separated from my daughter. I'm like, oh, so now I'm here with my daughter. He's up there.

"It's a horrific situation that, again, didn't happen to a few people. It's happened to thousands of people, and that's just what we know of right now.
